Got questions? We’ve got answers

Can I freeze my membership?

We offer discretionary pauses to memberships on a case-by-case basis.

How do you keep the gym clean?

Good question! We take hygiene very seriously. The mats are wet vaccumed until dry and then scrubbed and disinfected after every class. We also lift up all the mats once a week and clean under them to ensure a hygienic training area.

What personal hygiene steps do I need to take?

  • Always wear a clean gi or rash guards and shorts to train. Also, keep fingernails and toenails trimmed short.
  • Please wash your feet before stepping on the mats. We have a foot washing station before the mat area.
  • Finally, if you suspect you have some sort of skin infection, please don’t roll. It’s likely not a spider or mosquito bite, so please don’t cover it up and try to roll, as it can still spread.

Do I need any experience to start Jiu Jitsu?

Nope, not at all! We welcome everyone, from seasoned grapplers to complete newbies.

Will I get hurt?

Bruised egos? Maybe. We try our best to prevent injuries by ensuring that you train in a safe way at all times. That means going with partners your own size and engaging with them in a respectable way.

What should I wear?

A well-fitting, clean jiu jitsu gi or a rashguard and shorts or leggings. Your no gi gear shouldn’t feature any zips.
